I'm just a parent, but I know there are natural ways to nourish our children as they go through their bout with cancer. My goal with this blog is to give parents the information that their oncologists may not know or give them so they have the information at their fingertips when they need it. There may not be a natural way to cure cancer (but my view of that is changing!), but I believe there can be a strong "synergy" of anti-cancer foods and supplements that have the ability to make modern medical treatment more effective and at the very least extend lives. My diet philosophy is of whole foods and a whole foods based diet. Whole foods nourish the body as a whole, strengthen the immune system and in turn help it to fight cancer. This is a collection of my personal and ongoing research that started when my daughter was diagnosed with AT/RT brain cancer.

Layla's Tumor Busting Protocol-(Ingredients)

Coupon Code LIF532
With the awesome news of Layla's radiated tumors shrinking PLUS the tumor that was NOT radiated shrinking in her brain as well as no new tumors, means something in this program is working. There was a question as to a spot in her brain, but considering it changed color identically to the spots in her spine since the last scan, one would have to assume it is/was an active tumor. Since she is still showing tumors albeit shrinking (and dissolving hopefully), so far I believe this all-natural protocol gives a "response"-good enough for millions of dollars for drug companies, all I ask is that you share this information with anyone who may have cancer or at risk for it. This is an accumulation of over a year and half of research, often times sitting up until 1 a.m. in the morning on the internet. Sorting through the garbage on the internet takes time, then once you find the substance that works, then you have to find the best source, which often takes days of researching the companies and often the best info comes from the 100's of comments from users on forums, Amazon, etc. Then you have to get down to the nitty-gritty and scrutinize the dosage, one that works, but is safe to take for an infant that can't tell you something is wrong(Layla is non-verbal). Since I do have a life and not getting paid for this, (although some say I should), I feel like getting the ingredients of the program out is most important. Even if people don't take the exact dosage amounts/per body weight as Layla, this program will definitely give some results. This is a work in progress because I know it may take me weeks to give the how, why, where, and how much and many people and kids don't have that long to wait. I am pondering writing an e-book for kindle because I don't think a simple blog post does this complete program justice. Everything on this list is anti-cancerous, non-toxic, and should not interfere with most conventional treatment. I will include some items Layla is allergic to since she is allergic to milk protein/soy/avoiding gluten and also unable to chew or eat large amounts so this can vary. I don't know if just taking the vitamins and supplements will work with baby formulas. They are ridiculously high in sugar, corn syrup solids and now even soybean and canola oils. Baby formula is practically carcinogenic now, but using the supplements should definitely help.

  2. Great post! Questions: 1) Any favorite recipes? How do you get Layla to eat all of that? and 2) Thoughts on Omega-3?

    I look forward to the E-book. :)

  3. Organic baby foods make things a little easy for me. She has always had trouble with citrus and tomato foods, so it's pretty much all bland or fruit type foods. We are almost over mucositis from radiation and have found it is actually easier to mix everything in a bottle rather than in a bowl of food as it gets kind of gritty. Her daytime bottles now consist of 2oz of coconut milk kefir, 1 oz of either muscadine grape juice or a blueberry pomegranate blend, 1.5 oz of throat coat licorice tea, 1/4 oz of aloe juice, 3 oz of some green and orange blends of baby food, a tablespoon of egg protein powder and a raw pastured egg. Then I mix in all of her supplements in the blender. I am using the 10oz evenflo glass bottles. When she can eat from the spoon, I take and make little cupcake cups of blended hamburger or chicken to measure it ahead of time. I have blended some beef liver in as well in the past, but will try chicken liver as it is a little milder. The best way to heat the ghee, palm oil an virgin coconut oil is in ceramic type cereal bowl on a low heat burner. Heat the meat and oils together and then stir in the baby food of your choice. What gave me problems before in the food is the curcumin and resveratrol have very strong flavors and can overwhelm the taste of the food.

She gets an evening bottle and sometimes wakes up in the middle of night thirsty too, probably due to all the supplementation. I usually try to keep the sugar low in these bottles and use a couple oz of strawberry kefir along with 3-4 oz of coconut water which will also help her rid the body of toxins as it is a mild diuretic. The rest I'll top off with the Fiji water. I usually add a little vitamin C and a drop of the concentrace as well for extra detox while she sleeps.

For omega-3, cod liver oil is the best way to go. If you are eating pastured products this will also help keep you balance. Layla gets 1.5 teaspoons per day of the cod liver oil in her bottles. I can't get past the whole flax paint product thing, plus only a very small percentage of the omega 3 from flax is able to be utilized.

  6. Ingrid, Nourishing Traditions is my favorite. I like to use the internet mostly. I have subscribed to numerous "Real Food" facebook sites that always seem to post really good recipes. I just save them in a bookmark file, then I usually have pictures to go by too. I do plan on getting the books "Fat" and "Bones" by Jennifer MacLagen http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Appreciation-Misunderstood-Ingredient-Recipes/dp/1580089356
